Official: Man United tie down 19-year-old wonderkid to new contract

The Premier League giants Manchester United have announced the contract extension of the 19-year-old central midfielder, Ethan Hamilton.
Young star’s previous deal expired at the end of the previous season, but his immediate future at Red Devils has been secured after Ethan became the latest member of the club’s U23 team to commit to a new deal.

The Scottish player will be looking to break into the Manchester United first team just as his compatriot Scott McTominay did last season.
He was superb for the academy last campaign, scoring goals, but what sets him apart is his tenacity. Ethan is a combative, versatile midfield player who can adapt to different roles and that could serve him well here.

He was rewarded for his impressive form last term by being named on the bench for Manchester United’s FA Cup victory over Huddersfield Town, though he didn’t come on.

Expressing his delight at signing a new deal, Hamilton said via Manutd.com, “Manchester United has always been my club, so I’m delighted to be staying and extending my journey here. I know it’s a cliché, but I just need to really knuckle down and train hard.”
