Liverpool officials are reportedly making arrangements to fly out to Turkey with hopes to complete a deal for Besiktas star Domagoj Vida.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in a bid to improve his defense this season completed the £66.8 million signing of Roma goalkeeper Alison Becker recently.

Klopp who seem to be concentrating efforts for a better defense has targeted Besiktas defender Vida and wants him on his team to improve his backline.

The Croatian international star known for his strength in playing in any defensive position but mostly deployed as a centre-back and full-back thrilled his football audience and made a name for himself at the just concluded 2018 FIFA World Cup, his outstanding performance helped Croatia reach the finals before losing to France.
The 29-year old defender capability of playing in any defensive position did not go unnoticed with the likes of West Ham, Everton and Liverpool showing interest in him.

There are claims that Besiktas have already rejected a £19.7million bid from West Ham and also declined an approach from Everton which did not match their valuation, but it is speculated that Liverpool might be the favourite and close the deal soon.

With hopes high, Liverpool will have to hasten plans to sign the player and put him in good use as expectations from fans are on the high side in the coming season.
