Stiff competition- deal agreed for solid rock defender despite Man Utd involvement

Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester United could be handed a massive blow in signing Alex Sandro from Juventus with report suggesting Paris Saint-Germain are currently winning the race for his signature.

The Brazil star, who missed out of the Selecao squad for the recently concluded Russia 2018 World Cup has two more seasons on his contract with the club.

Juve might not be willing to allow their man leave after losing Dani Alves to PSG last summer, while Leonardo Bonucci made the switch to AC Milan.

The Sun claims Juventus are looking to recoup some of the money they spent on signing super striker Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid and the sale of Sandro could plug any deficit.

And the player has struck up a contractual agreement with PSG, according to Paris United, but that has not been confirmed.

Sandro has been on the radar of United manager Jose Mourinho following his plans to overhaul his team for competition next season.

Meanwhile, Mourinho is planning to give Luke Shaw another shot next season as reported by SunSport earlier this week – as his plans of landing the Brazilian might not be realistic.

And Chelsea new boss Maurizio Sarri wants to strengthen the squad which he took over from Antonio Conte who was sacked last week Saturday.
