Kane in for Ronaldo?

Could Harry Kane be parachuted in as Cristiano Ronaldo’s replacement?

Corriere dello Sport claim Real Madrid have three options if Ronaldo completes his move to Juventus.

One is to sign Neymar from PSG - a move that appears the most likely.

The second is the prise Neymar’s PSG team-mate Kylian Mbappe away from Ligue 1 - but that is complicated by his current situation with Monaco and PSG.

The third potential replacement is Kane, who has scored six goals at the World Cup this summer off the back of a superb campaign with Tottenham.

Spurs are unlikely to be willing to sell their star striker unless he asks for a transfer.
And Real would still likely have to break the world transfer record to prise him out of north London.

Chelsea swoop

Chelsea want to sign Christian Pulisic AND Aleksandr Golovin this summer.

That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim the Blues are pushing ahead with Maurizio Sarri’s transfer plans despite Antonio Conte still being manager.

Golovin will likely cost around £25m to rise out of CSKA Moscow.

And Pulisic remains a key man at Borussia Dortmund.
But the report claims Chelsea are confident deals can be done for both players before the start of the season.

Conte at war with Chelsea

Antonio Conte is planning Chelsea’s pre-season schedule despite the Blues closing in on appointing his replacement Maurizio Sarri.

The Times claim Conte will be back at his desk this week to get his 2018/19 plans underway.
He has already hit back at an email sent requesting players not on World Cup duty return to Cobham this weekend - by insisting they not report back until next Monday.

And Conte is supposedly plotting Chelsea’s pre-season schedule as normal.

That is despite the fact Sarri could be appointed the new boss as early as this weekend.
For now Conte insists he is the manager and the team do things his way.

Mina to Everton worry

Everton could be overlooked in the battle to sign Yerry Mina after Fenerbahce launched their bid for the Barcelona defender.

Everton are said to have offered £21m to land Mina, 23, this summer.
The Colombian scored three goals at the World Cup in Russia - attracting interest from a number of sides.

But Spanish newspaper SPORT claim Fenerbahce have improved on that Everton offer with a £26.5m bid of their own.

Ronaldo to Juventus latest

Cristiano Ronaldo’s proposed move to Juventus has already had a positive effect on the Turin club.
Ronaldo is wanted in an £88m deal at the Serie A champions.

Real Madrid could be open to a sale, with Ronaldo keen to exit the Bernabeu.

And Juve have already received a boost in the form of their market shares, which rose 5.89% on Wednesday following the transfer news.

Real could end up forking out £105m in a four-year contract to the 33-year-old, should Ronaldo agree to join.

But the hope is that his market value and footballing brilliance will make the transfer worthwhile both on and off the pitch.

Chelsea dealt Higuain blow

Gonzalo Higuain's agent has played down suggestions the striker could swap Juventus for Chelsea this summer.

The Argentine has been linked with a big-money move to Stamford Bridge to link up with former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri.

But the player's agent, also his brother, Nicolas Higuain has quashed those rumours.

"At the moment we haven’t spoken to any other clubs as we have a three-year contract with Juventus," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"He [Gonzalo] is very happy in the city, at the club, with the coach [Massimiliano Allegri] and the tactical system.

"Everyone knows his rapport with Sarri is wonderful and he sees him as a football father.
“But as far as I know, Sarri hasn't even signed for Chelsea yet.

“Secondly, Gonzalo is happy in Turin so I see no real chance of leaving."

Barcelona close in on deal

Barcelona are close to securing a deal for Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet, who has also been linked with Manchester United.

The Frenchman impressed for Sevilla last season and is reportedly nearing a £35million switch to Barca.

Lenglet was one of eight defenders drawn up a centre-back shortlist by Jose Mourinho, as revealed by the Manchester Evening News, but appears increasingly likely to become the first fresh face at the Nou Camp this summer.

Willian speaks out

Willian has spoke about the speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona.

The Nou Camp outfit want to take Willian to Spain as it’s claimed they see him as a force in attack following the departure of Andres Iniesta.

Fellow Brazilians Philippe Coutinho and Paulinho already ply their trade at the La Liga champions and Willian admits the trio get on well.

Willian said: “People speculate a lot. We see a lot of things on the internet, but this is not the time to talk about this.

“I’ve not received any information about that. I'm trying to focus on my performance, playing for Brazil.”

Never in doubt for Fabinho

New signing Fabinho has revealed there was never any doubt he would move to Anfield once Jurgen Klopp made his intentions clear.

Fabinho arrived from Monaco for €50million (£43.7m) just days after Liverpool were beaten in the Champions League final.

“Yes, [it was] very easy,” Fabinho told FourFourTwo.

“I was sad to leave Monaco, a club that gave me a lot of great moments, but in football sometimes you need new challenges and I thought it was time to move on.

"As soon as Liverpool declared their interest in signing me, it was a simple decision to make."

Ronaldo insulted

Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Juventus could be in jeopardy with the Real Madrid star reportedly insulted with the 100 million euro (£88m) fee.

The Portuguese superstar has been linked with a move to Turin with Madrid rumoured to be willing to accept the offer. That’s despite Ronaldo’s release clause sitting at €1billion (£883.5m).
Juve are more and more confident of pulling off a huge deal having offered a four-year £26.5million-per-year contract to the Portuguese star.

But Marca now report that Ronaldo will not be happy if his current club do accept an offer of €100m.

Matuidi backs Ronaldo transfer

Cristiano Ronaldo joining Juventus would be ‘great’ news for the club says midfielder Blaise Matuidi.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been strongly linked with leaving Real Madrid this summer with Juve now the favourites to land the forward.

And Matuidi, who is currently at the World Cup with France, would welcome the arrival of the former Manchester United star.

"I'm not going to lie it would be just great," he said.

"It would be great to have one of the best players in the world with Juventus in the same club that I am.

"It would be great for the club and for the Juventus players.

"However, today I'm a player of the French national team and we have bigger fish to fry, no?"

Mario Pasalic to Fenerbahce

Fenerbahce are lining up a swoop for Chelsea ace Mario Pasalic to play alongside Jack Wilshere, according to reports in Turkey.

The Turkish giants are said to already have an agreement in place for Wilshere after his contract at Arsenal expired.

And Fotomac claim they now want to land Chelsea’s Pasalic to partner the England ace in midfield.
Pasalic, 23, spent last season on loan at Spartak Moscow and is reportedly keen on the switch.

He signed for Chelsea in 2014 but is yet to make an appearances for the west London side and has been out on loan to four different clubs.

Dries Mertens aggravation

Maurizio Sarri is on course for his first disagreement with the Chelsea board… and he’s not even started yet!

Former Napoli boss Sarri is set to become the next Chelsea manager when Antonio Conte is sacked.
According to the Telegraph, Sarri has made Dries Mertens one of his top targets this summer ahead of his Stamford Bridge move.

But Conte is said to have asked for the Belgium international on two separate occasions and had no luck.

And that is because the Chelsea top brass have other ideas, with Borussia Dortmund ace Christian Pulisic at the top of their list.

Yerry Mina interest
Everton and Liverpool are interested in signing Colombia centre-back Yerry Mina, reports claim.
The defender, who joined Barcelona from Palmeiras for £10million in January, has earned plaudits for his World Cup displays.

And could be on the move having struggled to establish himself at the Nou Camp.
Goal claim Marco Silva’s side have contacted Barcelona, while Turkish outlet Fotomac report that Liverpool have also registered their interest.

Liverpool to sign Ki-Jana Hoever

Liverpool are set to clinch the signing of Ajax defender Ki-Jana Hoever.

Premier League trio Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have all been credited with interest in the talented full-back.

But according to Goal, Liverpool have won the battle.

The report says Hoever, 16, will go straight into the academy side having rejected offers from rival clubs.

Ajax were desperate to tie their right-back to his first professional contract, but Hoever wanted to join Jurgen Klopp on Merseyside instead.

Done Deal: Hornby signs

Everton have announced teenage striker Fraser Hornby has signed his first professional contract with the club.

The 18-year-old Scotland Under-21 international has put pen to paper on a deal that runs to the summer of 2021.

Hornby made his senior Everton debut, his sole first-team appearance to date, last December when he started the 3-0 Europa League away win against Apollon Limassol.

Barcelona favourites

Barcelona have been installed as favourites to sign Chelsea playmaker Willian, according to the bookies.

The Brazil star, who’s helped his nation reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup, has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge with the Catalan giants monitoring the situation.

“Willian’s impressive World Cup performances are rumoured to have caught the eye of Barcelona’s CEO Oscar Grau and the Brazilian winger is now priced at evens with BetStars to join the Spanish champions this summer,” said BetStars director of trading Ian Marmion.

“The Catalan side have already had a bid of £50m rejected, but the odds suggest that they are now prepared to match Chelsea’s asking price of £70m and make Willian their first high-profile signing of the transfer window.

“Should the move to Barcelona fall through, however, Manchester United are prepared to swoop in, and are next up in the market at 3/1.”

Tight-lipped…

Cristiano Ronaldo has been strongly linked with a move to Juventus but the club’s general manager has refused to give anything away.

Ronaldo’s time at Real Madrid appears to be nearing an end with widespread reports claiming Juve have submitted an offer around 100m euros (£88m).

Madrid are thought to be considering the bid with the 33-year-old said to be keen on a fresh start elsewhere after nine years with the club.

But when asked if Juve fans could dream of Ronaldo signing for them, Giuseppe Marotta simply responded: “no comment”.

Xherdan Shaqiri hijack!

Jose Mourinho is considering a move for Stoke star Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Switzerland international, who impressed at the World Cup this summer, has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool.

Shaqiri, 26, is available for just £12m thanks to a release clause inserted into his current Stoke contract.

And according to The Sun, United have joined the race for the winger.

They say Red Devils boss Mourinho, who is out in Russia doing TV work, has been impressed with Shaqiri’s performances at the World Cup.

Mourinho is now weighing up a move for the Stoke attacker, which comes as a huge blow to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

Done Deal: Hennessey signs

Wayne Hennessey has signed a new contract to remain at Crystal Palace until 2021.

The Wales goalkeeper, 31, has made 106 appearances since his arrival from Wolves in January 2014.
"I've always said how much I enjoy playing football here and the way we ended last season shows what we're capable of achieving as a team," he said.

Palace doubled down on their goalkeeping options an hour later when announcing that 39-year-old club legend Julian Speroni extended his stay with the Eagles for another season.

Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea

Chelsea have agreed a £53m deal for Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain, it is claimed.

The Argentina international has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks.
And Italian outlet SportMediaSet claim Chelsea have now agreed a £53m (€60m) deal to land the Juve hitman.

They say the move could be made official once Maurizio Sarri is unveiled as Chelsea’s new manager.
Former Napoli boss Sarri is expected to replace Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge in the coming days, and Higuain, 30, tops Sarri’s summer wish list.

The pair worked together at Napoli, with Higuain netting a record 36 Serie A goals in the 2015-16 season.

Arsenal favourites to sign Andre Gomes

Arsenal lead Chelsea in the race to sign Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes, the bookies claim.
The Gunners are keen to spend this summer, with Unai Emery said to have a £70m transfer war chest.

Arsenal have already signed Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Bernd Leno, and according to the bookies, Gomes could be Emery’s next summer signing.

“Andre Gomes could be set for a transfer to the Premier League, with Arsenal the clear 6/4 favourites to sign the 24-year-old,” said BetStars spokesman Ian Marmion.

“The Blues can be found at 4/1 to complete a deal for Gomes, whilst Tottenham are also in the mix at 8/1. AC Milan round up the betting market with odds of 16/1 to snap up the Portuguese international.”

Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo is already searching for a house in Turin ahead of his move from Real Madrid to Juventus, according to reports in Spain.

Real Madrid are currently considering an £88million offer from the Italian champions, with Ronaldo tipped to sign a four-year deal worth in excess of £105million.

Madrid-based newspaper Marca - who are often credited with being a mouthpiece of Real - say the 33-year-old is looking for properties in Turin.

Marca say ‘the player is aware that he would be leaving a city behind that has been very good to him and his family, he's enjoyed a very happy life in the Spanish capital, but he's already thinking about his possible future in Italy’.

Should be a few properties within his budget...

Alisson Becker update

Chelsea transfer target Alisson Becker will not leave Roma before the World Cup ends, according to his agent Ze Maria Neis.

Alisson has forged a reputation as one of the globe’s top goalkeepers and he went to the World Cup as his country’s No 1.

The 25-year-old is wanted by Chelsea as Thibaut Courtois look set to head for the exit door having failed to sign a new deal.

Liverpool are likewise interested in getting Alisson on-board as they seek to replace current first-choice stopper Loris Karius.

Neis says a deal for his client to head to the Premier League is not going to be pushed through imminently though.

"Nothing will happen in the next few days," Neis told Italian station Tele Radio Stereo. "Alisson is 100 per cent focussed on the World Cup."

Alex Sandro to Manchester United

Alex Sandro has agreed terms to join Manchester United, Duncan Castles claims.
The Juventus left-back is a long-term target for Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho as he seeks to bolster his defence at Old Trafford.

And according to transfer expert Castles, a deal has been agreed with Sandro, and all that’s halting the move is Juve’s £53m asking price.

Castles said on the Transfer Window podcast: “This summer United have decided to go for Alex Sandro.

“They have put a deal in place with the player, the player wants to (join) and Juventus are holding out for up to 60million euros (£53m).

“They (Juventus) have seen the market and are thinking they can cash in big time.”
