Arsenal have been making final moves in concluding their transfer business with just three weeks left to the close of the Transfer window.
Unai Emery had suggested last week during a pre-match conference that he is open to bringing a final signing to the squad and it seems that player is Florian Thauvin.
According to several reports from France Thauvin has emerged as a top target for Emery who has sanctioned the purchase of the 25-year-old from Marseille.
Arsenal would have to pay a premium fee for Thauvin as Marseille have set an asking price of £44.3million for the winger. The former Newcastle forward has undergone a resurgence since his move back to France two seasons ago, developing into one of the best players in the French Ligue 1.
These performances ensured that he made the French squad for the world cup but he barely featured making just a single appearance in Russia.
Thauvin would be a quality signing for the Gunners as Emery seeks to add more firepower to the attack, his versatility means that he can be deployed into various positions in the attack.
However, Arsenal fans would have to be cautious in their expectations for Thauvin as he moved to Newcastle some few seasons back to much fanfare but ended up becoming a flop for the Magpies.
