Arsenal are reportedly ready to sell versatile attacker Alex Iwobi this summer for £22 million.
The 22-year-old came through the youth system at the club and is just
two appearances short of 100 for the north London giants. The Nigerian
ace has been a regular over the last two campaigns, but his future at
Emirates has been thrown into doubt following the arrival of Unai Emery
as Arsenal manager.
According to Il Messaggero, Alex Iwobi is available for £22 million
this summer, and Lazio currently lead the interest. The Nigeria
international scored three times and registered seven assists in 39
matches in all competitions for his club during the 2017-18 season.
Despite consider selling the player, it was also reported that
Arsenal are set to offer news contract after new head coach Unai Emery
gave the green light to the forward to sign a new contract.
Earlier this month it was believed that the Spanish manager was keen
on offering the services of the African to Real Madrid in a deal to sign
Lucas Vazquez. Former Sevilla boss is a huge admirer of the Spain
international and is ready to offer a bumper deal to the Los Blancos ace
to lure him to London.
