Chelsea on red alert as UCL giants registering interest in £27m-rated star

Premier League giants Manchester City have joined Chelsea by making an enquiry to La Liga side Real Madrid over a deal to land Mateo Kovacic.
The British national daily tabloid newspaper the Daily Mirror reports that the Citizens are considering a move for Mateo Kovacic in case a deal to land Jorginho from Napoli falls through.

Pep Guardiola’s men are putting strategies in place as they brace themselves for last-gasp interest from the Blues for Napoli defensive midfielder Jorginho.
There have been some suggestions that the west London club and Naples-based outfit could negotiate a deal for Jorginho in an effort to make up the numbers in the former’s reported pursuit of Maurizio Sarri.

Mateo Kovacic is looking to depart from Real Madrid this transfer market and planning to meet Los Blancos’ management to discuss potential summer exit.

The Croatian star fell out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu last campaign and is looking for regular playing time somewhere else.

Chelsea had earmarked Croatia international as a potential target for Maurizio Sarri, but both club’s interest in Italo-Brazilian could be the deciding factor.
