According to reports in the French media via the British tabloid
newspaper The Sun, Arsenal are prepared to launch a £44m bid to land
Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman as new manager eyes his sixth summer
signing.
Unai has focused his attention on bolstering Arsenal’s defensive
set-up since replacing Arsene Wenger with the Gunners’ boss bringing in a
new goalkeeper, centre-back, right-back and defensive midfielder thus
far this summer.
Talented French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has followed German star
Bernd Leno, Swiss full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner, Greece international
Sokratis Papastathopoulos and former Sampdoria man Lucas Torreira
through the door but it looks like Emery is now ready to try and add to
his attacking variants before the window closes.
A new wide player is on the agenda and Arsenal have been linked with a
host of names in the latest weeks, but the Sun are quoting a report
from BeIN Sports that states Arsenal are ready to plot a £44m offer to
sign Coman.
The 22-year-old star was considered to be one of the most
promising young talents in the world when he came through the ranks at
Paris Saint-Germain before joining Juventus back in 2014, but after
struggling to adapt in Italy, he joined Bayern Munich on an initial
two-year loan deal.
