Liverpool confirm the exit of Jurgen Klopp’s favourite from Anfield, fans are in shock

Hugely acclaimed for his high-speed attacking style that saw Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund rise to dominance in German top-tier, Zeljko Buvac’s shocking exit from the Merseysiders has raised a plenty of eyebrows among fans.

Buvac was the assistant manager to Jurgen Klopp during their long spell at former club Borussia Dortmund.

While Klopp had described himself as the “heart” in their coaching team, he often called Buvac, 56, as “the brain” behind their crowned success.

Their relationship working professionally together spanned for 17 years, starting at Bundesliga outfit Mainz, before working together again at Borussia Dortmund.
But his sudden exit from the Merseysiders has never really settled down with the club’s fans.

Buvac left the club during the build-up to their Champions League clash against Real Madrid in May.

However, according to the ECHO the Bosnian Serb football coach will not be returning to the club.
On Sunday, it was reported that  Buvac will no longer return to the club after being away since April due to personal reason.

Pep Lijnders will step up to take his role at the club in Klopp’s coaching team.

It is understood his 17-year relationship with the Klopp is over and his departure will be confirmed by the club in the coming weeks.

Buvac hung his boots after playing for SC Neukirchen in 1998 before taking charge of the club.
