Liverpool reportedly ended interest in signing £80,000-a-week midfielder

Completing the landing of Nabil Fekir from the Ligue 1 side Lyon is no longer Liverpool’s priority this transfer market, according to reports from the French news outlet Le Progres.
The Reds’ pursuit of Frenchman has been well documented for some time now, but any deal appeared to be in doubt after the star allegedly failed to convince the Reds’ medical staff of his longevity at the high-level.

Fekir’s history of injuries emerged to be a concern for the Reds’ hierarchy, leading them to pull the plug on a huge-money move to sign the Lyon star.
However, states that a deal could be resurrected have surfaced in the latest times, with indications that the Reds could yet look to take a gamble on Nabil ahead of next season.

Le Progres, though, imply that this is not the case. It’s claimed in the report that although interest from somewhere else is building regarding a swoop for Fekir, this is not the case for the Premier League giants.

The report states that Fekir is not the main target for Jurgen Klopp anymore, showing that perhaps a summer deal isn’t so likely, after all.
