According to the latest reports from the British daily tabloid newspaper The
Daily Mail,
Newcastle United have rejected a €30 million offer from West Ham United
for English star and the Magpies captain Jamaal Lascelles.
The 24-year-old Lascelles is a central defender wanted by the likes
of Liverpool and Chelsea – yet Newcastle’s captain is valued highly by
the Geordie club and so they have laughed off the Hammers’ bumper bid
out of hand.
Jamaal Lascelles has emerged as one of Newcastle United’s key men,
with Spanish manager Rafa Benitez wanting to keep him in Tyneside at all
costs.
The Reds and the Blues are both tempted by the star, with the sides looking to strengthen their defensive options;
The
player looks perfectly happy in the North of England and Newcastle
United will do whatever is in their power to keep Lascelles there.
West Ham United may come knocking and send the Magpies another offer.
However, it is possible to be laughed off all the same – unless it
reaches a desirable figure.
