Chelsea finalising £61million transfer first before star leaves

Chelsea star goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is said to be leaving the club for Real Madrid but the Blues are set to get a replacement before the transfer is made.

According to reports from HLN, negotiations to move him to Bernabeu are making heads way as the transfer has gotten to an advanced stage.

It is rumoured that AS Roma’s Alisson Ramses Becker could be Courtois replacement if he eventually leaves Chelsea.

The Belgium International is at the last year of his contract with Chelsea. The 26-year-old goal keeper  joined Chelsea July 2011 and was loaned to Atletico Madrid for three seasons where he won the Europa League, Copa del Rey  and the La Liga title respectively.

Courtois won the Ricardo Zamora Trophy as the best goalkeeper in La Liga, he returned back to Chelsea in July 2014 and in no time Chelsea won the League Cup and Premier League title, he was awarded the best goalkeeper in the just concluded 2018 FIFA World Cup where he was awarded the golden glove.

Alisson on the other hand is also known for his good keeping skills and whether Courtois leaves or not, the blues has a good option as a replacement.
