Liverpool reportedly withdrawn from their chase for £180,000-a-week striker

The Premier League giants Liverpool have no intention of pursuing a summer deal for Juventus Argentine forward Paulo Dybala.

The Reds have been connected with a move for the technically gifted attacker with reports in Italy suggesting they were prepared to table a club record offer of around £80 million.

However, the newspaper Liverpool Echo understands that Paulo is no longer on Jurgen Klopp’s wishlist of targets as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2018/19 season.
Liverpool’s hierarchy have been considering their variants in the transfer market since a £53 million deal for the French side Lyon’s attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir collapsed early last month.

The Reds backed out at the 11th hour after a medical flagged up concerns regarding of an old knee injury.
It was blow for German coach Jurgen Klopp who had viewed the Algerian-French star as the ideal replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who was sold to Barcelona back in January.

Anfield side have yet to pursue an alternative to Nabil, leading to speculation that the transfer could be revived with terms renegotiated after the World Cup.
