Man Utd Chief Ready To Complete Signing Of £60m Star, Personal Terms Already Agreed

Manchester United chief Ed Woodward is ready to complete the signing of Juventus star Alex Sandro as soon as Jose Mourinho gives him the green light, according to reports via TeamTalk.

Mourinho has already made three new signings this summer with third-choice goalkeeper Lee Grant arriving along with highly-rated right-back Diogo Dalot and Brazilian international midfielder Fred but the United boss knows he needs to further strengthen if they’re to compete for top honours this season.

Left-back has been something of a problem area ever since Mourinho arrived two years ago as Luke Shaw has struggled to establish himself and while Ashley Young has done well covering in the unfamiliar role, he’s now 33 so a long-term solution is desperately needed.

Sandro has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer after developing in to one of the best full-backs in the world since joining Juventus from Porto three years ago.

TeamTalk cite the Times as saying that United have already agreed personal terms with the 27-year-old but have been struggling reach an agreement with Juventus over a transfer fee with the Serie A champions demanding around £60m.

However, United aren’t going to give up just yet as the Independent, via TeamTalk, claim the Red Devils will make another attempt to sign Sandro and Woodward is ready to complete a deal as soon as Mourinho gives him the green light.

The report says Sandro is regarded as the perfect solution to United’s problems at left-back and they are now set to make a big push to try and bring the South American star to Old Trafford before the close of the window.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming weeks but Sandro would be an excellent addition to the United squad if they could successfully lure him to Manchester this summer.
